American Philosophical Association (APA)
The APA promotes teaching, scholarship, and discussion in philosophy. The APA website includes conference and seminar information, news, and a members-only resume database. The site also features a teaching resource center, including sample syllabi, articles on successful teaching practices, discussion boards, links to handouts and exercises, and service learning resources.
American Association of Philosophy Teachers (AAPT)
The AAPT seeks to improve the quality of philosophy instruction by supporting research, publication, public discussions, and conferences about teaching philosophy. The AAPT website includes conference information and links to teaching resources.
Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy (SAAP)
The SAAP promotes research and the exchange of ideas about American philosophy. The SAAP website includes information on their annual conference and summer institute.
Society for Women in Philosophy (SWIP)
The SWIP webpage includes articles, bibliographies and syllabi on the relationship between feminism and various philosophical topics. There is also information on philosophy graduate programs that support feminism, information about women philosophers, and a few online articles.
Canadian Philosophical Association (CPA)
This association supports philosophical education and scholarship. The website includes free job postings and scholarship postings, as well as a quarterly bulletin.
